Examples of texts in Beyond Translation that illustrate the Textual Notes feature.
The Digital Latin Library GitHub source text for this edition is available here. The DLL reading environment for this edition is available here and includes features that we hope to add as well. The textual notes in Perseus 6.0 can be found here and the side-by-side translation can be found here.
The textual notes below were encoded in TEI XML by Hilary Binda as part of a larger digital edition of the works of Christopher Marlowe. One particularly significant feature of this work is that Hilary created this TEI XML edition in the late 1990s and we were able to use the textual data without modification a quarter century later. This suggests that we are beginning to see stability emerging in at least some digital formats and that our data is evolving into formats that can be reused over long periods of time. You can see this in Perseus 6.0 here.
